Ok so i realized my little bogging issue about a week ago: i had a 230 main jet in there with only a uni filter with the air box lid ON. So ive moved on since then. Ive removed my air box lid and have tried a 240 and 250 main jet. It still sounds a little lean. It is also pretty hard to start (takes more kicks).....
So does anybody have their airbox lid removed? if so what jetting do you have it at???
Thanks!

I'm not sure, but the dyno jet just for removing the airbox was much bigger than stock. like sizes 240 to 250 you cant tell the diff by sight. so i would try 270 maybe.

well my acceleration is good, thats the pilot jets job.
I dont wanna mess with the clip because its a pain, but i guess i could go a notch lower

clip position is mid range, works with the main jet...the taper of the needle determines how much fuel comes out of the main jet at certain throttle. Once you're at WOT, the needle doesn't matter at all, but from like 1/2 throttle to WOT, the needle does matter, less as you get closer to WOT. Moving the clip up pushes the needle down and leans you out, while moving the needle clip down raises the needle and richens the mix. You're supposed to check the plug at WOT, because that's when just the main jet is doing it's thing...nothing else matters. Oh, and WOT has nothing to do with RPM....just throttle position, although if you're jetted well, you'll soon be way up in the RPM range at WOT.

ok so i pulled the plug today and it looked good,,,,
the electrode was a brown, and the ring was dark brown, so if anything its running rich....any ideas?
