intersting theory on 2 stroke oils

Hmm I have always used castor 927. Breakin regularly use never had any problems. I was using yamalube but found the castor cheaper and just went with it.

Heck I used it in my yz125 that i raced nationals on and in my long rod cr 125 that i raced locals with.

Not saying the info isn't true just that i have never noticed a difference. What I have noticed a difference on is is the ratio mix. Too little oil and too rich fuel has turned pistons blue and gold. To rich oil and to little fuel equals spooge and fouled plugs.

I wonder what the make up is on the jetski 2 stroke oil dont they have there own spec they have to meet tcf12 or something along those lines. Wonder if it dino or syn. Skis seem to run quite along time when properly maintained.
But I guess the same can be said for just about anything.

The castor is great for higher temps.
Ski's don't run that hot. Because they have an endless supply of whatever water they are in. Imo

True. I wonder what makes the stihl oil so good.

I used to work at a john deere dealership and can vouch for the extended warranty if you by there oil.

I have even left my chainsaw sitting all winter and pull it out it fires right up
All I ever heard was they have a proprietary blend bla bla bla. It does seem like good stuff.
Curious what it would do in the blasters. They run around the same rpm and are both air cooled.

I'll try it in the lt 80 we have. Give a couple weeks with a new plug and well see what happens

I've seen it tryed. And after a day. Compression was bad. But don't what ratio they ran? Probably 50:1?

Cant imagine 1 day wiping out a top end. Although I wouldn't mix 50 to 1.

I was comparing prices the stihl oil is just about as much as what I get castor 927 for.
I have used that for a long time and only use something else when I cant get any

did you read the part about the rings not seating properly during break-in
and the synth oil companies recommend and sale non synth "break-in oil"

i never used break in oil when I put a fresh top end in my 01 blaster I just did the heat cycles and called it good.

Stihl oil is terrible, yes even in chainsaws. I’ve pulled many top ends on saws that strictly ran stihl synthetic and the build up is awful. Some of this is due to poor tune in the older saws, but the newer m-tronic saws have no excuse.
