Installing Kick Start

Well i did the vitos block off kit. Istalled the kicker, but now it doesnt return. Ive been trying to get it for atleast an hour. Where does that little metal spring thats sticking up go? anyone have pics or a DIY, i dont like having to bring the kicker back up!

my girls blaster does that same thing. she hasnt ridden it enough for me to take the time to tear it apart and figure out out yet tho so i'd love to hear what others have to say.
