this is my first blaster that i saved from the dead. the last owner beat the crap out of it then just left it sitting. it didnt run right what so ever. wouldnt stay running. wouldnt hit powerband. and knocked like crzy. so i bought it cheap. stripped it down gave it a make over. installed fresh carb. bored .80 over (not sure what cc that would make it) with a wisco piston. new jug. new reeds and cage. bottom end was good. well it runs better than ever. but its so hard to start? is there anything i can do to make it easier? i heard i can buy a different spark plug? any help is appriciated. thanks!

What plug do you have in there now? Out should be a.b8es or br8 es.. After to rebuild did you compression test? leak test ? and heat cycle? what are all of your mods and what's your jetting for starters..

As above. Leak test and compression check. How clean is the carb? Did you make sure the little holes along side of the pilot jet are all clear ? Any power upgrades ? If so, could be jetting is lean. Upgrades include aftermarket air filter and/or no air box lid.

You said bored .80 over, but then say new jug. Hopefully you gave the shop the new piston and they bored it to accommodate that piston. You need to leak test. If it passes the leak test you need to retorque the head and cylinder bolts.

As stated above...

If you have an aftermarket exhaust, air filter, or open air box it needs to be jetted.

Where do you have the air screw on the carb set? How many turns out?
