check your crank bearing. it might have some play. that MUST be tight with no up and down play at all because if it has play, theres slap and compression, timing and ports are off.
take the top end off(get that pipe off, head and cylinder) and if you must, that piston so u can really check it. you want to deliberatly(not rough but not just up and down like your a girl working on an engine) so hold the crank with one hand and move the rod up and down and if theres slight play in it, that might be whats causing this.

but when my crank bearing went shortly after i got my blaster, it sounded really bad, and it was because the connecting rod was hitting the bottom of the crank case, but because i didnt know the problem, it was really hard to start, like pretty much didnt, but i got it fired and had it going for like 5 seconds, sounded bad and didnt want to run, compression was strange. if theres a bit of play that could be the problem.
just try that if you've ran out of ideas.
