idle problem

Hi i am new in to quads. My blaster will not idle but runs strong and also it back fires, a flame come out. i know that is not normal my ktm 125 does not do that. not sure what is up with it

blasters dont like to idle for some reason my wll sometimes and sometimes it wont if u take off ur seat theres a flat head screw that ur idle ajustment if that dont work u can try cleaning ur carb

a backfire is a timing issue could be a sheared key on the flywheel

just becasue it wont idle doesnt mean it runs bad. could be an idle adjustment. weather effects jetting, so that could also be an issue. but a 2 stroke not idling doesnt mean its runs better. it should be able to idle. its gotta be able to warm up at first some how, cant start it up and go revving the sh*t out of it. you'll blow it up. esp if you have a forged piston in the winter time..

and if ur problem is its reving up then u probably have a air leak

revving up could be that, or an improperly installed slide, or stick slide. also a loose carb cap. happened to me once...lol once and only once. fresh engine, no tether....scary....lol
