I bought an 04 blaster 2 days ago off one of my friends for $600, and I love it so far but I would like to add a few mods to help it run and look better. the front bumper is a little bent so i've been looking at getting one, like the AC Racing bumper?. the right peg is missing the heel guard so i'm thinking about getting an oem replacement or getting nerf bars with heel guards, which do you recommend? I've also thought about getting new reeds, jets, air filter, and exhaust so I would like to know what you recommend. Also if there are any other mods that you would recommend for me that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for all the help.

ok for your bumper i like dg but ac is great as well....
nerf bars for sure.. spend some money and your legs will thank you.
exhaust?? toomey or shearer..
v force reeds..
get some maxxis razrs..
or maybe an airfilter such as UNI........ go ahead and ask as many questions as you want!!

dude your in luck.. i've got a blingstar iron cross front bumper, shearer pipe, nerfs tha wil work with hell guards ( i don't have the heal guards though) it's all for sale

stick with the stock reed cage... the V force isn't worth the money for a mild machine.. you could replace the petals on your stock cage with boysen petals.. jets aren't a mod.. but rather a neccissity for tuning the engine in correctly. when you put a pipe on you'll be jetting it..

swapping out teh stock handle bars for something else would be a good thing for ya too.. the stock bars flex like crazy.. and bend real quick if you flip that thing..

I've been riding with no heel guards but i got nerfs. It's not too bad, I haven't lost my foot yet anyways.

those engines are very unreliable and hard for parts....do you really want to do it....and i geuss it would work if you could stuff a street bike motor in a blaster you can do a 500

if your looking to do a large displacement engine in a blaster i would suggest a yz490 or a cr500
