I Need Lug Nut Help!

I have Hiper CF1 front rims, and bought the Hiper brand Lug Nuts that are supposed to work with them, but they don't seem to fit right. Here is a picture of the wheels:

They don't seem to fit right, it seems as though they should be tapered to the end like these:

Let me know what you think, I just don't understand why the Hiper brand ones wouldn't fit right.

grind off the shank down to the cone should work then

go and look at a different hiper lugnut and see if there is a difference , did you order them? or did you buy them from a shop and can compare them to another?

Well I just got off the phone with Hiper tech support. They said that they changed the inserts on the newer models so they are sending me some new inserts. Their customer service is amazing, I told them that I bought the wheels used, and didn't buy the lug nuts straight from them, and they are still sending me the new inserts no questions asked for free. I am surprised how easy that was. Im very impressed so far.

Yeah they look to be set-up for a regular tapered style lug nut.
It's great that they got you all fixed up like that.

Well the new inserts came on thursday, I left for the cabin on wednesday though so I couldn't get them in time. However I did get the rears on and they hook up a lot better, but I will definitely need a 14T sprocket.
