I had my blaster dyno'd today!

lol my buddy has the bullydog watchdog computer for his '06 VW Jetta TDI 5 speed and we tried a performance test on my escape (auto) today...its rated for 200hp and 200 ft/lb torque, I kinda figured that was a crock of sh!t, so we had to find out for ourselves!! So for his car he got 94hp at 4200 rpm at the top end of 2nd gear. I got 86hp at 6500 rpm and I think in 2nd gear also. He's planning on getting a chip for his jetta to add 30-40hp or he can go a max of 50 hp more. Here are my results.

114 hp lost in the transmission? Are you sure you weren't powerbraking it on the dyno?

I totally believe it though, my V-6 f-150 is supposed to be 215 HP, but it will barely pull our 17' aluminum Starcraft w/ 85 hp Evinrude to 60 mph. I could keep my foot in it and keep the torque convert unlocked until like 75 mph, but then it would blow the feeble upper intake gaskets and hydrolock the next time I shut it off!!!!X(X(X( Don't even get me started the sh*tty Ford products I've owned!

its not a dyno machine, it a gadget that plugs into your car under the dash
