I don't get it..??

Everyone says to use gear oil in the blaster. I just read the manual and Yamaha calls for SAE 10W-30 Motor Oil...?

people do and can use motor oil in the tranny. but for my .02, i recommend spending a little more money on some belray 75w gear saver and do it right.

I get what you mean. But you say "Do it right". How is it right if Yamaha recommends SAE 10w-30.?? IDK.

Either will work. The bel ray just has stuff in it to help the wet clutch

Yeah when i got the blaster it had motoroil in it and it would feel 'crunchy' when shifting but when i swapped it to belray, it was alot smoother shifting

I put 10w30 in mine because the factory recomends it and they have engineers that make a sh*t load of money that figure out if you need gear oil or motor oil. they design the bearings and busshing to use a thinner motor oil, not a gear oil. it may "feel" better but your really not lubricating your bearing correctly. BUT this is on realy realy small scale! I run the 10w30 becuase it seem less slipery to hold the clutch bettter. you can put ATF in there too!

Yep most builders say atf type F is the best to run. You just have to change it often
