no true... 4 strokes don't run very long upsidedown. the oil runs into the head and starves oil from the lower end. 2 strokes can run in any position as long as the fuel keep flowing.. you can turn the engine upside down and it'll run as long as you keep the float bowl facing downward.. since 2 cycles don't have any oil in the lower end they don't have oil starvtion problems like a 4 stroke which eventually ruin the lower end of a 4 cycleanything can stay running in any position as long as the back tires can stay spinning...
