I am talking to this guy about a cheap tecate

depending on what it needs it could be a money pit.. tecates are a strange animal.. and the aftermarket for them is limited.. especially suspension.. and plastic is about impossible to find in good shape..

700 sounds too good to be true....could get lucky, could be buying a nightmare....tough choice

the only time a tecate is cheap is when you purchase the machine.... i'm not tryign to discourage you but if youi buy a tecate that doesn't run.. your gonna have to learn how to work on one.. i'll put $ on the fact is needs a stator and flywheel.. they are notorius for droppign flywheel magents and trashing the stator coils.. kawi doenst; sell them anymore. only place to get one is ricky stator.. plan on spending about $300-$350 for the stator and the flywheel

I havent seen one in decent condition in years. Actually I dont even know where to class those as far as the Suzuki lt250s or Honda 250rs go. I have never ridden a tecate.

stock for stock i believe it was 1.tecate 2.LT250R 3. TRX250R. now with mods, who knows. the trx has a glorious history, one of if not the best quad ever....look at all the awards its won. in all types of racing.......

but parts for tecates are getting harder and harder. and more and more $$$$$$ when they run right and stay together, they are lots of fun...some also have kicker gear troubles where they wont catch right away, gotta mess with it.....

they have no problem staying togeter or being fast.. the 330 long rod setups for a tecate are supposed to be BAD ASS.. that what my 88 tecate will be.. right now my 87 and my 88 are 310's (295cc actually)

oh yeah i forgot about your tecate 370 you said you would be willing to sell me, i have been running into trouble in getting the money i need for it and i am still debating on what to do on anything
