Ok guys, I finally go my hyrdo conversion on with norms spindles and raptor calipers. It was a nightmare to get the system fully bled with bench bleeding the master cylinder and everything.

Anyway, I didn't have a real good firm lever, but I went and rode for a bit and the brakes really came to life! I have awesome brakes now...... I can do endo's lol.

But one problem, the calipers are hanging up. It isn't releasing all the pressure off the piston when I'm not on the brakes. I pulled the calipers back off and (didn't disconnect them) and squeezed the piston all the way back in, and tried to lube the caliper sliders. It worked, but for only about 15minutes, and now when I get on the brakes hard, the left is grabbing much harder then the right, and will actually throw the quad side ways if the back end comes off the ground. Any ideas?

It is kinda hard to push the quad, and takes 2 hands to spin the wheel if the are off the ground.

Yeah they were used....... But very nice shape or so I thought. I can't exactly figure out how to get the sliders out without destroying the rubber or the mount.

check your lever, make sure the bolt that presses the MC isn't applying pressure the whole time. i had the same problem with mine. you want a little play in the lever.

Thanks sheeblast that is what it was.......except that the new levers aren't adjustable..... I had to grind some off the stop to let the lever flop per say, once I did that bingo we are good lol thanks a lot guys!!!!

I just installed mine not long ago. You may have to play with the caliper spacing using the washers. I had to shim mine a little to fix it.

normans spindles that i got came with the washers to properly space them out, but good call on the lever !!!!!!
i've also had similar symptons with the gsxr rears when the pads are severely worn, new pads make a world of difference

and you know the rule.......pics/vids of endo's, or your lying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on the pulling thing.. i know that feeling..the 250 quadracers liked to do that..on them it was beacause one side or the other had a little air in the line and needed bled better... they were a real bi**h!

Well I have a extra set of calipers that the sliders are much better shape so I ll be working on them tomorrow night.

It was wierd, our racecars use a left front brake with peportioning valve, it helps set the car up coming into the turns, I grabbed the brakes it endo'd and whip it 90* and scared the sh*t out of me lol.

And I'm not taking video of that awk lol....... But damn the hydro conversion is freakin huge difference to cables........well worth the $150 bucks I paid for everything and the hassle to to set it up!!!!!!!!

I ll have some finished pics posted tomorrow, this weekend is the maiden voyage of the freshly redone blaster in the 100 acre woods up home in tioga county pa!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!

Here ya go a little teaser till tomorrow
