How wide of a tire on stock wheels??

Would a 22x12-8 fit on the stock (8x8, right?) wheels?? Or do I need to get 9 or 10" wide wheels for these???

I'm thinking of getting K299 bear claw rear tires!! Not sure on what I want to go with up front yet. Anyone know what the stock fronts are?? If I could get them for a reasonable price (less than 40 each) I would buy the same tread only 1" taller for up front.

Well I have a set of 20" holeshots and they're great for wheelieing around the yard and such, but they're not exactly the type of tread I want for the type of riding I like to do. I want a tiny bit more ground clearance and I want to slide the tires out more. Seems like the holeshots grip too well on the grass!! I've been hitting powerband up and down my side yard now and was letting friends tool around the yard last weekend...and none of the grass is even hurting!!

Plus, if I lose too much power with the 22" rear tires, I'll just change one of the sprockets a bit.

My yard is a little over an acre of field, and then an acre and a half of woods, roughly. I haven't ridden these things on any real 'trails' in the past few years.

The holeshots don't really break loose. Maybe more PSI would help?

And mainly I want to use these blasters more for trail/enduro style stuff rather than the sand pits. So with the type of abuse that I'm looking to subject these things to I think a taller tire will be beneficial, mainly to the underside of the quads!
