I have a toomey b1, but i NEED to lower noise..

Is the limitations in the front pipe? or silecer ?

Can i etc. use stock head pipe and the a FMF Q rear silencer?

Will that give anything?

And i DONT want to use small solutions like steelwool and whatnot.. its not enough... i need to drastically lower the noise. . . .

The ideal solution would be if i could use the toomey headpipe and fmf q rear.. i dont know how that will work

The header is the most restrictive part of the exhaust. if you just change the silencer it will give you little performance advance, the real noticeable difference will come with the header.

you will not be happy at all with a stock head pipe on. someone here cut one open before and it was full of baffels and extremely restristive. but yeah what with the no noise?

he joined an "atv club"..rule is no exhaust over 100db. his is 110db.

dont put the stock header on, try the stock silencer, or get the q silencer..it should fit. if not you can always make it fit, not hard.

i read your other post regarding this...look and see if thee is a spot for an o ring in the head pipe. and make sure the bolts are tight. (im so use to a banshee with springs) check everything before using any sealants or "gum". also check the packing and make sure its good too, sometimes that helps.

the fmf q should work. you could also run the stock silencer...you will lose some performance but it should still run nice- just rejet.

Yeah i will try the stock rear silencer, and see how that will be sound wise.. with the Toomey header.. It it lowers it signifigant i will properly buy the "Q"....

I update when i have tested in a few days-.

if the stock silencer is considerably quieter then you many want to try and gut it as it will still be quieter than an aftermarket silencer. my friends daughters blaster ran for years with a gutted silencer and it ran better, revved faster, and was quieter than the fmf q. but the fmf q will most likely give a little more power and it will definately have more bling than the stock piece. part of the sound deadening of the stock system comes from the steel that it is made of. also the stock head pipe is the worst part of the stock exhaust. once the silencer is gutted it flows quite well. just my .02:)

Yeah thats what i am afraid of.. it lies in the header! .. listen .. i fully understand a part of the sound damper is because of thicker steel design on stock... so IF i wanted to get a performance header thats still quiet´er what could be the answer? :

I would really like a more "bass" sound.. not a high metallic treble sound..
