how fast???

the top speed of your blaster isn't going to matter much on an mx track. I started with 14/38 gearing and it didn't feel right. On some parts of the track the motor felt like it was either lugging too much in one gear or reving to high in the next gear. I ended up switching the front sprocket to a stock 13 and it performed alot better. I also don't get to use 6th gear on the track that I run at and only get into 5th for a short amount of time on one straightaway

good info! this is really really close to using 14/40 gearing.

Ok here's a question. 2 times out of a year I will b racing at wildwood nj and there track is rite on the beach in the sand. Would I be able to swap out the front 14t sprocket that ima get Auctally sooner than I expected with the stock 13t one, or will that complete mess up the chain and make it jump teeth?

Probally gonna have to add a link ...not for sure been awhile since i switched mine..
My stock gearing with toomey an the 18's scooted but thats with a port job rad valve milled head....

i had to remove 2 teeth when going back to a 13 from the 14 the kit came with, i hated the 14 where i ride.

so you'll need to double master link it to add/remove those for different tracks, or just have 2 different length chains, 1 for each size sprocket

^^^^^^^ I agree. I have had to go to a 94 link chain for these 14t. Not enough adjustment to go up or down unless it's old and stretched!

Are these top speed #'s on dirt or pavement? Like me, you prolly feel like you're going 60mph when you're really only going about 45mph max. A GPS is the only way to know for sure because even if your bike was optimally set up, there's too many variables.......like driver's ability.
