how fast???

i was just wondering, how fast do u think my blasty will go with all the mods in my sig. i heard a bone stock blasty goes about 55. so i figured about 60-65???? i have stock gearing, and 18x10-8 rear tires.

Maybe if you bump up the gearing and have a good couple miles to get it to wind out all the way.

14/38 is what im going to be running with my 18's..what most guys run at the track to...

probably no faster than stock, possibly slower since you have a smaller tire diameter. the only thing that may help you is your pipe may let you turn another couple RPM.


you're limited by engine RPM and your gearing, then your tire size. The bigger the diameter, the farther the bike rolls per revolution of the tire, which given traction=more ground speed


a blaster isn't going to be a high speed bike

14/40 is still way to low for me with 18" tires. I am switching to 14/38 and going from there.

the top speed of your blaster isn't going to matter much on an mx track. I started with 14/38 gearing and it didn't feel right. On some parts of the track the motor felt like it was either lugging too much in one gear or reving to high in the next gear. I ended up switching the front sprocket to a stock 13 and it performed alot better. I also don't get to use 6th gear on the track that I run at and only get into 5th for a short amount of time on one straightaway

For MX here I and my boy use 12/40, with 18" tyres.

Hole shot in 2nd gear. Never get to 6th gear.
