I need a little help. Running a 06 Blaster, DMC exhaust, vf3 cage, open airbox w/K&N filter and outerwear prefilter, 14t front/stock rear sprockets on 18" holeshots. Thing puts a smile on my face till my buddy flys past me on his CR250R. How do I at least keep up with him? Thinking LA sleeve 240 kit, port job, and all the other fun stuff that comes along with. Should I also stroke it? Just stroke, stroke and port? Any ideas/insight is greatly appreciated.I:I

get a bbk, F7 pipe, +3 stroker, extreme port job and you might be closer to him lol.....

second on that exhaust ^^^^
and a bigger carb to go with that 240kit like a 34mm keihn
4mm or 3mm crank too

but dont forget to do some chassis mods like axle, tyres, sapcers etc to handle the power !

Get a dirtbike if you wanna keep up to somone on one cause you not keeping up to a dirtbike on a quad. Im sorry its just not going to happen, ecsecially a 250. LOL

^^^ exactly right. I used to fly by my brother all the time. I had a stock yz125 and he had his modified trx250r.

Yeah dirt bikes will fly by like you're not movin, i can be down at the track and i have to out-maneuver my buddies to get ahead of them, but on the straightaways they will pull past me easy, think of how their motors are, and how their trannys are, and how much they have to move. haha, i can beat a 660 that's slightly modified, but dirtbikes, that's a different story, unless it's a ttr230. haha

what year cr250? let me tell you my buddy has a 07 crf250 (i know they are not the same bike) and he just walks away from me. that thing is fast and light.

dirt bikes just put power down different, my other buddy has a 04 ktm 125sx and it walks away from the blaster too.

i had a couple of buddy's with dirtbikes(kx125)(suzuki 100)i keep up with the 100 but the 125 would pank my ass all day on the stock blaster, like they said dirtbikes are just powered diff and the power to weight ratio is was diff, also they are turning one tire and not two and the one tire is like 4inches wide not 10 on either side, the surface resistance and the amount of things turning in a quad vs dirtbike make all the differnce with your situation....
