couple of questions... I just bought an 89 CR250R for $500 thats in pretty good shape... Is the same engine in the 250r quads? Also, where are some good sources of info on these bikes, like this forum is? Where are some Honda parts specialists, like projectblaster?

i do not think it is the same engine, id just keep it if the whole bike is running, those things haul f*cking ass

i'm not really a bike guy... I like 4 wheels better than 2... I'd like to get another blaster rolling chassis and use this for my dune ripper...

rip the 250 motor and put it in a blaster frame that would be bad ass

just break out the old trusty tape measure.

measure every single mounting point and height / width of the 250 motor.

then measure the blaster...

yes, i know.. obvious, but i think you'll get a more sound answer that way.

also, know that the gearing for a bike is pretty different than a quad. turning two wheels and pushing another two compared to one and one on a bike requires a bit more bottom end.

I figgered as much for the gearing. I think a bike has taller gearing. I could compensate to a point with new sprockets.

worst case scenario, I'll build another frame and add some custom mounting points to it and just add mounting tabs for blaster parts, and use a bit thicker wall steel for strength when jumping.
