most carbon stuff you see for the mx bikes like as mentioned earlier, are cosmetic..hey it's made of carbon fiber cool... but really no different than fiberglass. to get the stregth out of carbon, it needs to be vacum bagged and autoclaved. if you just wet it out and stuff it in a mold, its no stronger than fiberglass. you should prolly use a carbon/kevlar weave too. prepreg if you can find it.
