I need a set of swing arm bearing for my "new to me" swing arm. I looked on ebay and thought surely I could by the stock bearings for less than 40$. My local dealership has an online parts store so I priced it out. I,m at $165 so far before taxes. How can they justify a 400% mark up? I know they are out to make money but DAMN!:o

yeah the dealers are gonna be waaaaaaay overly expensive, hit up one of the discount mail order places in no particular order, motosport, rockymountain, bikebandit, etc. and there's always ebay too.

do not settle for that price. go to a local shop, not dealership, and ask them to order the set. i paid $60 cdn for my pivot works swinger bearing set. shops usually dont mark sh*t up.

It looks like the last guy rode without bearings on the right side. I'm just going to rebuild the whole thing along with +4 inches and I'm thinking about tapping the pivot tubes and putting a small zert in them. I dont think an 1/8" hole will weaken them. And I will probably go with Boss Bearing, I like the fact that it comes with every thing for a good price.

you know what i do for bearings, theres a place in town called "bearing and transmission" and i pull the old bearing out take them there they will match everything up with high quality bearings and its really cheap.
saved lots of money that way.

alot of dealers order from OEM parts cache's. which are ridiculously expensive, $350 per cylinder for my Banshee no thanks. I only go to the dealer for oil and such and when ordering parts, make friends with one of the dudes, I have done that and every order I make he gives me his price on it and sometimes I save $100 on a part.

Check EBay. I got a new tranny side cover and a new clutch assembly (inner hub, outer basket, springs and bolts, adjustment rod, all plates and discs, and conical washer) for less than $80.00!!!
