high idle

so earlyer this week a head bolt pulled up so with some helped got tht fixed (used the old head gasket again but did try to clean the surfaces of the parts) and now tht its back together and it idles high....nt way high jus noticible higher for the most part......help please

I just pulled a head bolt the other day myself. Sense you only had the head off and now it's idleing high, I would say that used head gasket is sucking air and leaning the engine out making it idle high.

ive had leaky headgaskets and its never messed with my idle, mabey yours is horribly bad though.. did you clean your carb or do ANY other changes while teh head was off? at a very minimum i would get a new head gasket, they are 10 bucks.. alot less than a possible rebuild I:I

ok il start with the head gasket cuz i didnt mess with the carb and befor i piulled the head she was ok.....thanks guys

yea i would go with that def sounds like an airleak
