high end noise?

decent quality non o-ring chains can be had all over ebay for under $30, all day long, well worth the investment to prevent broken cases and worn out sprockets

ok, so i was able to get chain tightened up pretty good. (about out of adjustment now), but its allot better than it was.

I also checked the crank case oil. I couldnt see the line on the sight glass, but its deffinitly got oil. so I drained. and drained. and drained...

about half a quart came out before I finally got it down to site glass level. it was WAY over full. explains the hard shifts. MUCH better now.

was gonna just drain and replace but didnt have anything here to put back in and wanted to ride it before going to town.

ANYWAY. took it out and started riding it a little hard. didnt hear any "slapping/cracking"... So rode it harder and harder till I was riding the dog crap out of it. no noises!!! looks like it was just some chain slap.

I will be investing in a new chain and maybe sprocket in the near future!

probably will still do a leak down test on it...

still dont know why it wont run/start on 1/2 or full choke.

just picked up some motul 10/30 transoil, and some spectro 2t (all I run is spectro... I know there is new fancy stuff out, but spectro has kept all my bikes running for years on years.) at a cool little bike shop down the road I knew nothing about.

didnt want to drive to the north side just for oil, and I stopped at my dads on the way out and he said hit up this little hole in the wall place. turns out its an awesome little deal! they will get all my business from now on.

New chain, new sprockets (both of them) are a must.

Old sprockets will ruin a new chain in a few miles, and have been known to break.
