Hey guys well I'm 18 and have been working a lot on my car I bought a couple years ago (2001 grand prix gtp) and have grown to love it. I graduate high school and will be going to college next fall, but am looking for a fun summer project to work on.
So I have been looking on craigslist for a four-wheeler, our family used to have a yamaha (moto four or something) and I loved it. We replaced it with a newer atv since then, but its only at our cabin. I have been looking at blaster's on craigslist because they look like fun.
Here's the description-
"up for sale is a 1981 yamaha blaster in fair condition. It ran as of last fall but wouldn't start as of this spring so is sold as is not running. The frame is straight and tranny shifts fine probly just needs a tune up plug carb cleaning and what not. "
lol not much, right?
Anyways I want to try to fix it and I'm assuming there might be more wrong then just needing a tune up? What are common problems that could cause that? Also it might be a 1991, but not sure, I emailed him.
Worse comes to worse, how hard is it to rebuild one of these things? I think it would be a really good learning experience, and my education is priceless as I have been told.
Here's a pic of it-
