you need to clean it. there are different ways to clean it. i personally like to take everything apart on the carb and let it soak overnight it this cleaner i have. then i take the carb body and use my parts washer to clean it out, then i use carb cleaner to blow anything that still might be there out. finally i use an air gun to blow anything out and to dry it.
you also should use carb cleaner and the air gun to clean out the jets.
make sure not to lose anything, i soak everything in the same cup, then after soaking, i put the float, float valve, jets, everything but the carb into a baggy so they dont get lost. then i clean the carb body. when clean each little part, i pull them out one at a time and clean them then put them into a new clean baggy.
also again you can take pictures as you go so if you get confused or lost you and we can help you trace your footsteps and help you fix it.
