so i have a dynoport pipe and silencer and were the head pipe fits to the piece that bolts on the exaust port via a spring there is oil leaking out. does this mean that my piston rings are going bad and my engine is on the verge of blowing up
not at all, it means the exhaust is not sealing, 2strokes do spit an oily muck out the exhaust its normal, but best if you get that exhaust sealed nicely
Deprnding on the pipe there may be an O-ring in the pipe, replace it. Or clean inside of pipe and outside of mount on engine, apply hi-heat silicon, install pipe, allow to cure for 24 hours. If it's between cylinder and mount get new gasket, or clean and goop.
you could get an o ring from an autoparts store, put it in there and se if it makes a difference. my dyno port doesnt leak at all and i dont have any sealer in there. what is your mixture at?
wow if you havent already i would do a search in the do it yourself section on this forum and get rid of the injection system. it is known to fail and doesnt give the same ratio all the time.
