I'm looking to trade my blaster for a dirt bike, don't troll me about it. I'm 5'6'' and 193ish pounds, and I've never ridden a bike before. Whats a good bike for me that would last me a few years, but won't kill me for my first bike, and is decent for hillclimbing. I'm talking cc's etc. etc.

heres a yz 125

Well the reason im selling my blaster, i flipped on like a 10 foot hill, almost flipped and rolled down like a 50 foot hill...im sorry if i offend anybody by trading it for a dirt bike, im just afraid to climb on it, and a dirtbike would be good for me. Im thinking of a kx 125, i want good power so i can climb, but not hurt myself too bad if I lay it down.

just wait till you endo a dirtbike backwards , next you'll be looking for a little rascal with paddles ........ extend that swinger and pin it !!!!!

well to be honest if you dont got the money for an extended swingarm then you wouldnt have the money for a 125 dirtbike just get some more expernce stuff like that

To tell you the honest truth, i have seen people get F***ed up on dirtbikes, they can get squarrely and there alot harder to get back under control. I watched my cousin lay himself out on his YZ 80 and knock himself out cold.

He was riding down a gravel "road" that dipped down into a valley, the water ran down the hill when it rained and washed the road out a bit. When he hit the bumps it sent him over the handle bars and the bike landed on him. He hit so hard it broke his helmet.

I am not trying to discourage you from getting a bike, but there not any safer then quads. Anyone that tells you they are is straight up lying to you in my eyes.

Well bud, i wouldnt trade u a yz for a blaster. Youre gonna need cash to boot if u want a decent yz125, just my opinion. I ditched my 06 klx300r and then bought my blaster. More hooligan fun, less precariousness. Quad climb FTW, bike climb is sketchy. Since you are sitting higher on the mxer, it hurts more when you loop it.

im trading there bud.

Ya know what i think? "there bud" No Pain No Gain, let him figure that out on his own. Someone was trying to make a suggestion and you jumped him...That's not good man!

I think what hes saying is dirt bikes are more costly in repairs and stuff. Unlike a quad if you flip it, most likely its just your bars that bend, dirt bikes are alot worse, if you case it on a bike your looking at new rims, bars and plastics. if not worse.

The people on this forum are not telling you to stick to quads because they hate dirt bikes. There trying to be nice by not telling you that you cant keep the front end of a quad down while going up a hill! What makes you think you will be able to on a bike that's 1/3 less weight?

Now with this all said. If you do trade it and you start climbing hills with your bike, it would be a good idea to get an extended swinger on that aswell so it doesn't come back on you and kill you! they like to hunt you down after you bail! i have been ran down from everything from a raptor 700, to a honda 350X to a baja 90! its the nature of the sport that keeps most of us on our toes.
