yeah i did it on my 02 but have no clue how to on a 03+ because the tors brain is in with the cdi

okay. so today i went to the local stealership and they said they would exchange the jets i ordered off the internet for the ones i need so any suggestions? with the 150main and 50 pilot it would attempt to start run for like 2 seconds and then stall and if i would attempt to give it gas nothin would happen also my tors is gone. and one more thing sometimes when im pushin the throttle it like comes undone in side the carb and i can just freely move the carb? why is that happening?
i beleive so i plugged it back in up front and then it wouldnt start at all. so i take it its taken care of... now i need to find what jets i need and why the throttle keeps messing up
Explain in a little more detail please. I am having a hard time visualizing this. What comes "undone" and what "moves freely" ????
the throttle cable goes into the throttle box on the handle bars. it moves at first the thumb throttle then after pushing it a couple times its come undone inside the carb somehow... like i can just freely move the thumb throttle.
Sounds like something is sticking in the carb and holding it open so there is just slack in the cable on the thumb throttle end. I dunno I guess. Its hard to say without being there.
to totally get rid of the tors on an 03+ model ( I have one too) its simple... the ECU ( black box) has two wires that are thinner than the rest.. they are thin and striped. Cut them, not too short.. like this, it will run, but wont rev.. One wire needs to be grounded to the frame.. I dont remember which one. Strip them and try attaching them to the body while the engine is running, connect the wrong one, the engine will stall, connect the right one, the tors is gone forever.
the wires going TO your carb need to be put together as well at the ones the wires on your throttle plug into. cross both those sets of wires and no more tors.
