so if you been following my build i bought a blaster for 150 and it was not running today put a top end in it and a little starting fluid and it ran fine on the fluid now i cant get it to run again on fluid or gas any help its getting spark and all my switches are on

well if it was only starting using starting fluid thats a carb problem but if its not starting with either i dont know what would cause that.
you sure your getting spark?

got spark

if fuel getting in to the carb????

are your reeds cracked or broke???

does it have good spark???

new plug???

got fuel reeds are fine has a weak spark gonna get a new plug tonight hopefuilly

Air leak? Whats your comp at?

no comp tester gotts make one of them :p

try the spark plug first, if you suspect it to be the head gasket see if you have a loss of compression. aka is it really easy to kick or crank the motor. i would just get the plug situation figured out first then diagnose like i said earlier because you dont wanna start getting into more involved sh*t and buying gaskets when it was a 2 dollar plug the whole time

and yeah ether isnt good for 2 strokes since they depend on the oil from the gas (if you premix) to lubricate the cylinder/crank

well plugs fine becasue my spark is jumping off the frme when i kick it over adn pull the plug away a little i think its my rings tho because i feel like i lost compression and i just rebuilt the topend

The reason ether (starting fluid) is bad to use is because it dries on everything...I don't know if you have noticed when you spray a little on the ground, it dries very quickly? 2 strokes NEED premix or injected oil in their cylinder...&since ether is a drying agent, thats definitely NOT GOOD. Its also known to put a wear spot on the top of your piston...I actually did it purposely to a motor i had laying around...Since I couldn't find a clutch to fit it, I decided I just wanted to blow the motor, but I did it with a bottle of starting fluid....After running and starting it off of the ether, it showed some wear on the top of the piston...It eventually blew up and the rings seized....I wish I still had pics of the damn piston that came out of it....Hope this has taught ya something on starting fluid...
