Ive heard alot of dif. things about the 400ex shock, i almost bought one but would like some opinions first, Is it easy to mount? any mods needed? Does it change ride height? Hows the ride?

it'll take a little bit of enginuity.....lol....u have to drill the hole out a litle and use some washers....not that much ...good luck

400ex shock= heaver bike=stronger shock= bending the frame but if you get the one for it its MADE for the blaster so it dosent bend it

and that widening kit thats 6inches it going to ruin your frame as well i wouldent want your bike if your goin to jump it it will loosen up and fall of not safe at all but i think like 4inches is ok

blasterfreek30, i think you'll be o.k. lol

i hear the 400ex shock is very nice over stock. and we both know that the 6 inch kit is great. i wish i had your front shocks though.

i have a 250R rear shock... and i love it. i bet you will love your 400ex rear too.

let us know how it goes.

blaster 551 it will not twist the frame in anyway! i even know soem members that have a yfz shock for a rear and it worked out perfect

it's uneducated comments like this that can really hurt a forum's trust.

where is your experience with twisting frames? do you have pictures? videos?

or do you know a kid who's cousin's friend's dad said it would cause the frame to twist, because he worked for yamaha in 1996?

there are people on here who have been riding blaster since before you were alive.....

sorry. i'm over it.

you don't have to but there was another thread where a very reliable member who knows what hes talking about said the 400ex shocks do not seem to be worth it to him and he even said that a yfz is better
