Help with not starting

Ok Guys, Im back from Vegas so heres an update. I took the cylinder, head, and piston in and thank God the guy wasnt right about boring it out to the max. It was only at 66.7. (I still need a little lesson on the diameters and bores sizes, ect...) So, the cylinder was able to be bored, saving me from either a sleeve or a whole new one. Phew. Needed to get the head smoothed out as well because there was damage to that as well. The guys wasnt quite sure as to what caused all of this damage but said it looked like aluminum was bouncing around in there for quite a while, or maybe even sand. Hes a little worried about the bottom end having damage as well. Here are some pics of what the bottom end looks like without pulling it apart. I found a couple chunks of some type of metal lodged into the crank rod, and a couple small pieces of metal that were magnetic (?!?) laying around the top lip. I got everything out and it doesnt look like anything else is inside. I do notice some scratches inside. Also, there are some burns as you can see, are those ok?. Here are some pics of what Im talking about. I get the top end back today if I can make it up there and if not definitely tomorrow. But Im wondering if I should worry about putting it together right away or do something with the bottom end first.
