help with getting needle out

undo it at the handle bars first so you have some slack to play with then unscrew the carb cap that the cable goes through, and the barrell, spring and needle should all slide out, compress the spring up from the barrel towards the cap and you should see a brass thing that sits over the cable, this will slide out then the cable should slot out. Let us know if you need anything else 
is i remember correct there is a screw that holds a plat on take that off and the cable end will come out
do what jm4 said, but while holding the spring tight up against the cap, turn it upside down and jiggle it around, that brass looking retainer plate thingy should drop out of there , push the cable inward and it should pop out, you dont hav'ta undo the 2 little screws and that retainer unless you need to get to the needle for adjustment, and watch for the 2 little plastic washers in there if ya go that far, 1 on each side of the clip

Wow u guys are a great help! thank you i couldnt figere how to get that brass thingy out! I will maybe check it sometime my quad runs great right now and its winter here in the midwest so i thought i would richen it a bit but after i cleaned the carb out it got a little richer all around im gonna pick up a 240 main and check the needle this weekend just to be on the safe side, should stock be the 3rd grove down from the top or what?
