ok i went to my local store they told me to start with a 260 main jet. then to bring the needle up one notch, try it like that..
but do i have to bring the needle up one notch? i dont know how to do that:(

another question, i been looking at reed cages. im looking forward to getting the v-force 3 reeds but when i went to remove my stock its stuck on there...:-/ i removed the monifold screws removed it then tried the reeds but there stuck...

but another blaster motor i removed the stock reeds by hand without a problem after i took manifold off...

if u look on top of your carb slide u will see 2 tiny screws, take them off and the needle will come out, careful not to lose the plastic washers, they are tiny.. move it up one as recomended and reasemble. did u try prying at the reed cage? sometimes they are really stuck on there but if all 4 screw are out there is nothing else to hold it in

the screws where you have to hold down the spring?

no i didnt want to break anything on the reed cage, so i came on here see if anybody had similar problem.

Well i just had a similar problem all i did was get the four bolts all the way out and set aside then get a decent grip on the manifold and wiggle back and forth and mine popped off.

i agree, very rarely does the needle or pilot need fooled with on a mild motor/stock carb

give that reed cage some light taps on the side with a big screwdriver handle or very small hammer < plastic tipped if ya have one

Sounds like it was RTV'd on or someone used gasket sealer, as stated a nice tap with a screw driver handle should dislodge it.

Just tap it with a rubber hammer. and juststick with what your guy said I ended up doing the same thing for good measure if you put the VF3 reeds in. Made it extreamly consistant and smouth, "Quote rather than compensateing for lazieness." what my local carb guy told me.(shrug)
