True, I do want a little more torque but when I had it running, 4th gear full throttle was a little sketchy. I'll do some research this time before I go flashing $950 in front of some broke 20 year old with a four wheeler lmao.

This too may help.

I was lookin at a really nice kfx. But Imma take my time and learn a little about them. Thank you guys. I'll be able to start working on this quad Saturday morning. I have to find out what size the piston is before I buy a top end kit. Will try and get a leak tester before.

I hear suzukis are something to stay away from. Looks like that narrows it down to what I wanted in the first place, kfx.

the Suzuki ltz 400 the Kawasaki kfx 400 and the artic cat drz 400 are all the exact same bike with different plastic and Suzuki makes all of them and there not bad bikes but if you have it ported and the head re designed by ken occoner it would really open it up and make it a lot faster

400ex has the least amount of power of all of them, not to mention it is air cooled,i would go for the ltz,but i would also have your blaster running in no time lol :)

Ik man I wouldn't even be interested if my blaster would run. I've hated it for not working when I haven't done much to get it working. It's fast enough for me and if I could learn to not blow my top end and foul a plug every 3 days I'd be fine but it's kinda really all my fault. At least I hope it is, it can't be the machine but I don't know what I did to blow the top end. If it ran I'd still be in as much love with it when I was willing to give money for it.

Just takes a little bit of patience which I don't have much since every single 7 teachers of mine are throwing homework at me. But I am determined to hear & smell that beautiful exhaust again THIS WEEK!

Do not be in such a hurry.

We will offer as much help as possible to get you up and running soon.

There is a lot more to learn than just wanting to ride, it take time and effort to fully maintain a machine.

Let's start afresh, and if you care to take heed and listen to advice, we will get that Blaster going well soon.

Yupp. The only reason I got sanity with the thing is cause you guys know what your doing, I don't know that much about em and that might be why I'm here. But this weekend I'll have an extra hand & someone whose done a few hundred top end rebuilds on top of you guys and you ever so helpful advice. Cannot thank you enough because 5 days ago, I didn't even know what a compression tester was lmao I'm gettin there but still gotta ways

I will reiterate, leak test before you pull it apart, that will tell the condition of gaskets and seals.

Have everything measured before ordering any parts.

I you run into problems, get back on here and ask questions, the guys on here really know their stuff.

Will do. I'll be back and forth from my four wheeler to phone. I couldn't have even made it this far without this blessing website lol

You'll be alright dude, just listen to what you were told, and always remember, if you don't know something, ask someone. There is no shame in that.

There was a point where all of us were in your shoes, asking questions, and getting advise and help from friends got us through.
