I just rebuilt the top end of my 2000 blaster about 2 months ago. It was fine until this past saturday. I put a FMF Gold Series pipe on it. I can ride it and it runs great but it wont idle for more than a few seconds.
HELP! Blaster wont idle!!

I have a 230 main jet in it now we have tried everything from 220 to 360. The airbox lid is still on and I have a toomey air filter on it. Also when I hold the throttle open just enough to keep it running it surges. I have checked everything to make sure all the bolts are tight on the jug and head.
look all around were the jug meets the crankcase for excessive grime and stuff. i had that gasket start leaking on me and at first it ran fine, nice and strong and all but wouldn't idle no matter what.
well i am running a 250 main at 2500 ft with my list of mods....but anytime you change something like exhaust or remove air box lid your going to need to jet up.
i had that same type of problem and i went through the carb like 5 times cleaned it out and it still didnt work.......so i just thought of looking at the reeds..and sure as sh*t i was missing one pedal on the top set of reeds....so i replaced that and it idles just fine....so i would check that, it takes all of a couple of minutes...
