I have a 94 blaster and it keeps wanting to stall out on me. It was fine for a couple weeks, now it won't stay running. I've adjusted the carb, cleaned it and also adjusted the screw under the seat many of times. Just can't seem to get it. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

tors box? the big flat head up by the air box you mean? I remember reading up on something some time and i remember reading that when adjusting both air screw and idle screw you want to set the idle screw at a certain position and then completely close off the air screw. Then i remember reading that your supposed to turn out the air screw till it is at high idle and then from there adjust your idle screw.

Can somebody refresh me a bit on this? I don't know if i have it all right but i know there is a certain way it should be done.

I'd have to say it's probably your jetting.
Does it idle high before it comes back down to regular idle and then stall? Then your pilot jet is too lean.

Does it seem to just stall right after you let off the gas? Then your pilot jet is too rich.

You should have your air screw around 1 1/2 turns out with the right pilot jet in there.

The idle screw on the TORS box is pretty much just adjusting the throttle cable as far as I know. If you have your TORS removed, the idle screw probably will not work.

Try to read through one of the carb tuning guides. It'll be a lot of help.

i dont think its the main jet or the pilot jet this is my buddys blaster and the entire blaster is bone stock, straight from the factory.

How you described it running is right on though...weird huh?

take the petcock out and clean the pickups, could be dirty as hell, mine were when i first got the bike and started rebuilding it.

where is the petcock? also i noticed that he is missing the screw up above the thumb throttle..what does that do? could that be the problem??

the petcock is the thing that you can turn you gas on/off and to reserve. there are 2 screws that hold it in and 2 tubes that are your gas pickups, one for reserve and one for regular use. on the ends there are little screens like fuel filters kinda, clean em. no idea about the screw but its probally not helping, find one and put in also.
