so heres the problem. im a big dude so i got the back shock set really hard so it doesnt drop so much when i sit on it. front shocks are almost as stiff as they get also i just put now tires on it so im still riding at 10psi in the rear and 8 in the front.. i ride mostly dirt and stone roads with some trail riding. when i take slightly rocky trails this thing shakes me to death, like to the point it feels like i've pulled something in my arms for like 4 days. also when i hit the occasional small rock or tree root in the trail it damn near throws me off. is my suspension just set too stiff? tire pressure too high? or is it just always gonna be like that?

I check in at 290lbs. I love both of my Blasters but I only adjusted the rear to be stiffer and I use about the same air pressure as you for most of my riding (one Blaster is completely stock). However, before I got my Elkas' I was running 3-4psi all around. I would soften the rear shock, as it is an yzf450 and remember that you are supposed to have some sag in your suspension. I think that the best upgrade for a stock front-end besides aftermarket shocks are Banshee shocks. You may want to consider a set of Flexx bars or ATV Four Play Soft Bars and a steering damper. Get a hold of Ken @ KB Motorsports and tell him that Heath sent you from Blasterforum. He is a good guy and will spend time helping you find a solution- he also tries really hard to get you the best deal that he can (on some items he just does not have the volume of sales to get deep discounts from the manufacturer). For now try softening the suspension and maybe go with less air in the tires, but be careful as to not expose your sidewalls. I have found that I have to set my shocks for the type of riding I am going to do- jumping, open fast riding, or slower single-track riding and am trying to find that sweet spot.

I tip the scale at 220#, I have all three shock backed off all the way and LOVE the improved ride the +4" swing arm gave me, the sand can be REALLY!!! ROUGH!!!! some times and it still beats the crap out of me, I cant even imagine having the set any stiffer!
