i'll start at the beginning... installed k&n air filter and removed air box lid, added holeshots on aluminum wheels(looks great). rode and ran great, pulled front wheels in first few gears with hard launches(a little suprised!!) and then added FMF turbinecore II Q silencer. lost my hard launches, didn't pull front wheels and at wide open throttle and high speed, seems to sputter. i can let up on throttle a little and it goes away. do i need to re-jet? still running stock mikuni, 230 main according to clymer manual. any help would be great and please don't say buy new carb. jets and other things are cheaper. thanks in advanceI:I

yes you need to rejet the carb, u should have done this already with the k&n filter and when you took the airbox lid off and i hope you dont ride in dusty areas or sand, because k&n filters are bad for letting fine dust through. so rejet and you should be good to go, do a plug chop to be sure.

thanks. re-jet up..240,250? hate to sound nieve but i read the CARB TUNING post and was a little confused. also some have posted that you don't have to re-jet w/ a k&n and it didn't start sputtering till i added silencer.

YES!! thank you and the silencer is new. reeds are fine and i have new ones just in case. will go up a size at a time and report back in a few days. going on vacation next week and will have time to play!!! thanks again:D

instead of going up a size and reporting back, go way up a size and go down from there, or else youll blow her up.
