help 04 blaster wont start

im not sure about flooding it i allways let it sit for a hour or so after messing with it for a wile but maby what are sings amd float lvl im not sure how do i cheach i dont have a ruler it does over flow though somtimes

You may need to clean the needle and seat if it is flooding.

Float level should 20 to 21.5mm on a stock carby.

you want to turn the carb and hold it on a slight angle to measure the float height, like shown here......

it should just barely be touching the inner needle, not depressing it,

It is possible to check the fuel level by attaching a length of clear plastic tubing to the drain nipple , lifting it up the side of the carby, and cracking the drain screw.

The fuel should show in the pipe to the level of the carb body above the float bowl gasket.

ok guys so i went a bought a compression testser and threw it on the wot kicked it like 20 times and it got to 70 psi i said o sh*t and threw it on my lil chopper and tested it and its only at 60psi but its runs like a scalded dog so i assumed my tester from H.F. is bad so i took it 2 a local banshee shop

and the guy marcus through his $300 compression tester on it in 2 kick's it was 120psi so thats good stock comp he said so we pulled the flywheel and the woodruff key is there good condition so me and my dad decided to leave it there he said he would call me on tuesday so when i get it back if it isent running im sure itl be a carb problem like the float thing yall where telling me about cause when we fliped it up like over doing a wheelie a lil bit of gas came out of the exuhast so we cut the fuel 2 it and kicked it like 30 tiees and my leg got sore form this week of kicking so thats why i decided to leave it there ill get back with u guys soon as i can that you al soo much for your help and experteise

If you have flipped it and are running oil injection you may have to bleed the oil system, you could have picked up air which will stop the oil flowing.

If gas was dribbling from the exhaust you may have just flooded it.

Drain the carby, take out the spark plug, with the petcock off, pin the throttle and kick until your leg gets sore to expel all the unwanted fuel and oil out the plug hole.

as an aid to you understanding what I type I have answered in your format of typing sounds like you picked up a duff compression tester I trust you torqued the flywheel nut up to 53 ft lbs if you have flipped it and are running oil injection you may have to bleed the oil system you could have picked up air which will stop the oil flowing if gas was dribbling from the exhaust you may have just flooded it drain the carby take out the spark plug with the petcock off pin the throttle and kick until your leg gets sore to expel all the unwanted fuel and oil out the plug hole let us know when you get the carby problem sorted out

will do mr blasster i aprecate your knoledge it has helped me understand more

then i would of figure out onn my own soon as the bike is in my posession

i will do every thing listed abouvebut i have a question he (the mechainic)
works on banshees and blasters all day he said when i get it running i should

sell it because that have no rev lemiter an was onley made for like 7k rmp and

if it goes 2 far over like 2 or 3 times they lock up is it true or he just gets all the lemon bikes 2 fix now im not planning on floring the bike all day but if i did pit it i dont want it 2 blow on me

There is no electronic rev limiter for over-rev, tho tors and parking brake will not allow more than idle when malfunctioning. Max rpm is primarily limited by chamber design, then engine design. If your buddy is blowing them up either something is worn out before or he really doesn't know how to care for or ride one. JMHO.

You tell "He" (the mechanic) that he talks out of his lower rear orifice.

A Blaster will quite happily run 8,500 rpm without complaining.

The main reasonS for a 2 stroke locking up is poor lubrication and an incorrect AFR.

hey every one he got it running apperntly u where right it over fluded filled the whole cyl up with gas he drained it removed all the plugs on the carb and it startes in one kick

well atlest it has 2day tomorrow ima clean it immuculent and the go out riding it leaks a lil bit of exouhust at the spot where pipe meets cyl

idk if its cause im used 2 quite 4 strokes but man this sh*t is loud and when the powerband kicks in its screams so loud i think its gona blow some times but i change gear and it keeps pullin strong I:I:D

Now that's funny. Dude you need to work on your typing skills. Glad you got her fixed bro!

That leak will need fixing, it will cause a lean mixture, which will eventually blow that motor.

how do i fix it what do i do and after it runs for about 10 minits it leaks fuel out of the overflow and i assume thats why i have no bottom end that and or combo of exhoust leak how do i fix it is it just a matter of float hight or more

Exhaust may need a new donut gasket and some sealant.

If the carby is overflowing it is one of number of things.

Incorrect float height.
Crap in the needle and seat.
Varnish in the above.
Worn seat.
Hardened rubber tip on needle.
Float rubbing on fuel bowl.
Wire clip on needle not in correct position.
Float binding on posts.
Leaky float with gas inside.
Little man sitting on float.

O-ring between seat and carb body can leak driving you nuts. To check that, remove bowl, put carb in manifold, turn gas on and lightly hold float up. This will tell you if it's leaking at float needle or O-ring.

It's hard to always think of all the possibilities all the time. No matter our age.

Also possibility of the float rubbing the bowl, which is even harder to detect.

Got that one, do I get awarded extra points.
