Headlight and run switch removal

Does anyone know how to remove the black plastic housing that has the Hi/Low/Off for the headlight and the Run switch from the handlebars? I see the two screws that hold it on the handlebar but I want to disconnect it from the wiring harness. Any ideas? thanks.

yeah, if i'm not mistaken both have plugs under the hood, or cut and tape seperately each wire under the hood, neither set needs connected together
