when i was racing this weekend my blaster had a miss on the first race it was not that bad as in it didnt cost me any place but as the day went on i felt it losing power with every lap and on the 4th and final race of the day it cost me 2nd place X( but when u went out to the garage it wouldnt start . i found the problem was the head gasket there was no damage wat so ever but the nuts weren't very tight and it was missing 1 nut is this comon problem with blasters and if so how often should i check the head nuts

if they are properly torqued then you shouldn't have to recheck them, what do you have done to your blaster, if you have more problems it is possible to install staggered head studs for more strength

this isn't true. You should check them periodically especiallly after changing the topend or headgasket. they back off all the time. I check mine after every few rides. If I raced I would check after every race

It can happen if the correct breakin proceedure was not used and the nuts re tightened after heat cycles.

I have never known the nuts to come loose if everything was done right, but if you run in extreme temp conditions it could possibly happen owing to expansion and contraction.

Do them at 27Nm, just convert that the ftLbs, i have had one nut come loose too while the others were tight. I never retorqued them after a assembled, it started spewing out spooge all over the place, i took head off, cleaned it up and put together with a new gasket.

Ive found using Copper Slip, on the head gasket helps it spread out as it gets compressed. try that..
