Head and base nut sizes

just my opininion but i would get stock ones,or oem eqivelant,not at a hardware store.....i fitted up a wheel nut at the store it fit on there little threaded stud wall of fame as well as my origional nut,got it home and guess what did not fit,or thread on :)

Yes flange nut has the washer built in, but the clamping load is gonna be different between a flange nut an a nut with a washer, an the floating washer helps with keeping them tight, cause the heat is in the head not at the base

i agree, run regular nuts with seperate washers on the head.
