Happy Now?

yes i took the thumb throttle apart b/c it wasn't even letting me give it gas.....whats a slider? and what do you mean unplug near the handle bar? do you want me to post pics of what i got now?

yeah sounds like the round thing that is under the carb cap isn't aligned properly. there is a notch on the inside of the carb and a slot on the barrle shaped thing inside the carb. I am assuming that there is a spring between the cap and the barrle shaped thing. also the big needle thing under the barrle thing needs to go into the hole at the base of the opening( a brass colored hole inside the carb). hope these terms are something you can understand bc you don't know all the real names yet. don't worry stick around here for a while and you will sound like a seasoned vet in afew months

ok i'm about to post pics.....but here when i do stick the needle in that hole is the black piece supposed to go down there with it or stop?......and I found out whats wrong with the throttle whenever we put the spring in and tighten up and then try to give it throttle it want come back out.....it sticks there because the spring cant go back out.

every thing looks good there. does everything work right when it is apart? if so you don't have it lined up right it can be very difficult to do sometimes especially since you have never done it before. the long notch all the way down the side of the barrle has to line up with the small metal nub sticking out of the inside wall of the carb. is the nub verticle it is a thin elongated oval shape

yes everything is as you have said but i am just gone give up and take it to a shop.....i have been working since 7 this morning on it......and i'm tired

will the slide fall all the way down into the carb easily?

and once it's in there will the throttle still move freely?

thats what I was getting at too but this guy is getting impatient. bad thing to do with a two stroke it takes lots of patients sometimes. I think the alignment lug in the carb is probably twisted a bit and that is why the slide won't go down or he has never gotten the needle and the slide lined up right at the same time. been there done that it sucks figuring it out for the first time.
