well guys i have a 2009 pocket bike (like a mini crotch rocket). it has a 50cc 2 stroke racing motor on it and runs 50mph. it's not even broken in yet only been rode 3 times. too much speed in a small package for me, it's pretty dangerous. it needs a spark plug. i got offered this:

"02 rm250 needs crank rod and bearings and rebuilt. from crank down is good its took apart so u can see whats wrong your self
other than that plastic is in good shape for sale or trade $400"

i asked him where he's located, if he had any pics, and everything it needed. hopefully he won't be too far away and i'll be picking it up, i don't mind the work it needs done i just have to order some tools (clutch holder, flywheel puller, etc.)

he just replied back to me. i asked what was everything it needed and this is what he said:

"needs crank bearings, piston, rings, gaskets, and crank rod.
has good bottom end and cases, plastic looks good, front tire is good, back about gone, good chain and sprockets.
was going to fix but moneys got tight"

got another reply, he is located in Manchester, Kentucky. it's about 2 hours from me. i will have to see if he is coming to me or if we meet somewhere and if we meet somewhere i'll have to find a way to get down there. let me know what you guys think.

alright he offered to meet me in Hazard, Kentucky. Hazard is about 20 mins from my dad's house, an hour from my house. i am going to see if i can get a ride down there. i'll let you guys know how it goes.

well i talked to my brother in law, he is the only person with a truck that could give me a ride, and he said he could probably take me next week not sure what day yet.

if you think the pocket bike was too fast wait till you ride a good running newer 250.... i would go for it..its a good deal.

I know you aren't questioning my dukes of hazard knowlege. uncle jesse dirives a white ford pick up and looks like santa in overalls. come on who doesn't know uncle jesse. and let's leave daisy's private parts out of this. lol

i remember him now that you mention the white ford pick up but i didn't remember him before that. haha i never mentioned her private parts!

i meant the pocket bike was too fast for such a small package, once you got going about 30 it was a little unnerving haha. i have a cr125r 2 stroke bike and a rm125 2 stroke. the cr is all stock. the rm is built from the ground up, there is nothing else that can be done to it other than boring (and we all know boring isn't worth it on a 2 stroke, a bbk is better). and i've rode my step dad's 2007 crf250x 4 stroke bike, i like the newer 250s and 450s because they share motors with the motocross bikes. will the rm250 outrun that crf250x?

that's what i figured considering the rm is a 2 stroke. i was just asking because my brother in law (the one who's taking me to pick it up) said , "it doesn't matter if it's a 2 stroke, if you race them it will be close because a 2 stroke isn't that much faster than a 4 stroke"

the 250 2strokes and 450 4strokes are pretty close as far as straight line accleration. if that helps any?

that's what i always thought from the 2 strokes i've ridden and from what i've seen. the 4 stroke equivalent of a 2 stroke always seems to be about twice the size. 125 2 stroke = 250 4 stroke, 250 2 stroke = 450/500 4 stroke... sort of like that is how i see it.
