the extended swinger would make a difference becasue there is more leverage on the shock, might make it softer. blaster suspension isnt really great. but if you revalve a better shock for your setup, riding style and weight....trust me, you'll wonder why you didnt sooner. and having a rear shock with a rezzie, helps a lot. your wifes is hard as hell cuz, well thats blaster suspension, even adjusted all the way soft...it still blows. i hate yamahas design for blaster rear suspension.....

yo im pretty sure if you wanted to get a new rear shock a 400ex would do ya good.... but since you like the stock shock its up you, and with mrs bike the shock must be all messed up.... but it looks awesome!

yeah, and heres whats gonna mount to that new axle????????

dude, get a 400ex shock, they are easy to mount and costy like 30 bucks on ebay, mine is on a stock swingy and it feels awesome, i kick myself now and then for not switching sooner.

hey stroker thats a gsxr dual piston that came polished with one of my brackets, that 305 is supposed to be gettin from me, but i did polish my front raptor calipers and might do my gsxr rear one since it's off to test 305's setup

sorry 'bout the hijacking 305, but as for the rear shock......i didnt know you were still runnin stock, definately get sumthin different, 400ex or 250r w/rezzie, i'm gettin that the 250r is an easier bolt on, but the 400 ex is similar to my 450r, but with a straight rezzie, i wouldnt suggest a 450r, it's offset and i had to grind my kicker side, fender mount off
BTW, axle looks good bro, and i see them blue lugnuts, i got the red ones

i have the 250r and i really like it over the stock shock! its super easy to mount too all u need is a angle grinder and simple hand tools. the difference is like night and day!

I know this may be silly, but I read up on a guy that tapped his ball joint and put small zerts in them to keep them lubed. If you can maintain them you won't have to worry about replacing them for a long time. Just my 2 cents. I have also seen guy's tap the rear carrier and put a zert in it.

thanks awk its going to be great.. id give you more rep but i cant.
i think i will upgrade the shock next since its one of the few things left to do.
i want something bolt on so i guess im going with the 250r shock, we'll see what comes around.
thanks for the comments guys.
