ive been waiting for 2 weeks for this shock to come in the mail because of bad weather but it finally made it today and i put it on my bike in minutes. no modification needed at all for the shock itself however to get the resi on in a half decent position i grinded off one of the tabs for the oil tank and shizzam got it mounted on there. i adjusted the shock a lil bit and im vey happy with it.

^^^ yamaha f'ed up on a lot of blaster parts!!!!! oil injector, tires, exhaust, suspension, but thats what makes it so much fun to modify!!! Glad to hear ya got your shock man
yeah I don't understand why they put the sh*tty exhaust and ugly bubble tires it really truly makes a blaster look like complete sh*t IMO. They could atleast put some better tires on there and maybe some better looking rims.
then how is the 86 shock better? yamaha had 18 years to refine the blaster and all they did was change the colors untill they added some brakes to it and redesigned plastics. but hell parts are easy to find.
you could probably drill it out and maybe drill the stock bottom mount out on ur swingarm and put a snug bigger bolt in there
you gotta remember these were designed to be a kids first machine, cheap and easy to fix.
Yea, but watch out it will twist the drill and bust your hand on the frame happened to me twice putting my works on.
yeah i know it will weiner the drill just be careful and go slow and steady ull be alright unless u can get a hole of a drill press
