Got it back!!!

Well after a yr and a half I got my blasty back after being stolen from my back yard. Cost me some money (which I am very pissed about) but what can ya do? But, it started right up which was a good thing. I am going to drain the gas (dont know what they put in it) And change the tranny oil as well as clean the filter. I am going to post up some pics later tonight after I clean it up some. But man I am so happy right nowI:I

Looks just like the day it was stolen. Its been in storage for over a year. I had to pay the storage fees for that time which was over a grand. I ended up paying 1000 to get it back. I tried jewing them down but they were really firm on the price. W/e Im just glad it isnt all beat up.

2 "ethnic" kids stole it and rode it into the city and then left it in the street after somebody called the cops on them for riding it in the streets. They left it in the street and ran. It was picked up by the towing company and its been there until it was sold at a auction. Then I found it on craigs list and it was taken back to the towing company. I got it from the towing company. And the kicker is this, it was picked up the day after it was stolen!!. I never had the vin and thats all the cops run when they get a case like this. So lesson learned. Always have the vins to all your quads!

Glad you got it back! Been following this story for awhile now...Let's see some pics! The way I see it, you just 'bought' a known-good Blasty, not somebody else's set of problems like you might have, had you gone on CL to get a replacement for this one. Congrats on the retrieval!

Yea thats why I wanted mine back, I could of bought a 1000 pos on craigslist but I know what I have into this one and I know its good to go. No pics yet too dark now I will get some tomorrow. I have to change out the fluids tomorrow and get some good premix but the premix will have to wait till monday when the dealer is open.

not for nuthin, but i only have a title for my raptor,
i have hand written bill of sales for the 3 blasters and the lt80,
just to show where i got them,
i keep pics, videos and pictures of the vins and engine numbers onhand.

been down this road.

had a 91 harley stolen, got it back almost 10 years later, on a different frame,
cuz i listed the vin and engine number as stolen, it showed up at a police auction,
and when they ran the numbers, i got a call.
kicker was, when stolen, it was on a crappy soft tail frame, with a crap paint job,
i got it back, on a stretched chopper frame with a springer front end, painted up
like a friday night street walker,
sold it for 14,000.00 the day i picked it up.

I just contacted the guy I bought it from for a bill of sale. That way I have all the info I need to apply for a rebuilt title.

I would have been pissed to pay 1k to get it back.It was yours and it was stolen.It should not have costthat much to get your own stuff back.Glad you got it back and are happy but this is just another deal where the cops and tow compqany ass raped you.I hope you put the 1k on credit card and cancelled the transaction as soon as you got home.Maybe it's me but this pisses me off that someone had to pay to get their own stuff back.WTF???? The cops messed up on this one and they should have worked with you.The tow company is obviously a bunch of losers also.I guess the cops are like the steelers around you,they suck!!!!!!!! lol jk

I have been on the phone with the police chief from the police department and there might be a chance I could get reimbursed my 1000. I will know by the end of the week. I was pissed but ya know what could ya do lawyers cost alot more than 1000 bucks.
