Hey bud! This post was awhile ago but my Dt200l motor in my blaster needs a crank rebuild so j sent it to Ken for a portjob and rebuild but I was wondering if I could use the Blaster 1st 2nd and 3rd tranny gears and 4th 5th 6th Dt? I was going to swap all the Blaster gears on the clutch axle to the Dt,s and use the Dt primary but I was wondering if it would be any good, I looked at both ratios and I think it might work, but I guess there's only one way to figure outHi Jess, I'm riding a 1990 DT200
and my son has the earlier (1986?) DT200 engine in a Blaster

The motor out of the 1986 DT200 is nearly a direct swap into a Blaster (still lots of problems!) .
The 1990 motor has some major differences that will make a more complicated swap. Just so you know.
Not near as complicated as a KTM motocross engine swap:
But don't expect to be done in an afternoon, or even a weekend....
