Ok here is what I got and I will take any idea's. I have a 97 blaster that is completely stock, other then when I got it it did not have the lid and it had a k and n filter. It is gutless. At first when I would give it any gas it would fall on its face. I adjusted the idle up and down and it did not do anything. The carb has a stock 32.5 pilot and a stock 230 main jet, the needle is at the second slot as well. I checked the compression and it was a little low at 125 but not to bad. The reeds were good as well. O I did just plug the hole for the oil injection with a peice of rubber and I am running mid grade at 30 to 1 mix. The plug is brand new as well. Help please.

Ok so I should move the needle to the 3rd notch and what size main and pilot jet should I have? Like 260 or 270?

So I decided to give it a shot tonight and it is still doing the same thing. The needle is on the 3rd position and the main jet was a 260. So do I move the needle another notch and a bigger main jet???

Compression sounds good.have you done a plug chop.that's suggested so much on this forum for a reason its a direct window into how that engine is running.I personally run mine a little on the fat side better safe than sorry.do a plug chop and get back.

Certainly possible^^^^. Can you define "gutless"? Bogs off idle, dead through RPM range, does it reach higher rpms at all?

Also, you had the carb apart. Did you clean it, spray thru all passages, remove and clean pilot and main jets?

Ok, I removed the tors when I installed the twist throdle and the park brake is still there. I have the needle in the 3rd notch and a 260 jet right now. Someone mentioned a 280? I had to carb apart completley, I rebuilt it and cleaned every passage I could fine. I have not done a plug chop yet.

i still think a 260 is too small. i think at least a 280 if not a 290

are you getting good fuel flow to the carb? did you completely remove the tors? all switches, brain, everything??

Easiest way to disable the TORS, yet leave the mechanicals alone is to disconnect the blk/wht wire from the TORS control box under the hood. It is the one on the upper left.

The pilot jet is in a tube next to the main jet, it is very easy to clog. How about your float level? If that is off it will throw off all carburation.

So I will give it a shot with the even larger jets and I am not very experienced with the blasters, I removed the tors assembly and I am not sure what other switches or anything elts there are. The filter is clean and I did not over oil it. I am very grateful for all the help I am getting from you all. I am still a bit of a noob.

Ok so I found were the tors was pluged in and I unplugged it completely. Then I ran it and nothing changed. I am going to try the bigger main tomorrow when I get home from work.
