I,m happy you like your 300ex!!! I have spent a lot of time riding my bud's 300ex when i was a kid and it was a fun and very reliable ATV, and you may be able to ride some trails faster because it rides smother and handles better. When i was riding my buds 300ex and he was riding my blaster on the dirt roads both neck to neck both at the same speed the 300ex felt like it was going slower because it was riding so much smother and handles so much better... If you want some more power for it go to Welcome to Four Stroke Tech.net! they do nice work!!! They did some work to my dads old Timber wolf years ago, and the did a big bore stroker kit on my bro-in-law's Wolverine. A 390cc Big Bore/Stroker Kit on your 300ex may be FUN...I:I

I can't really say anything. I never rode a 300ex so I can't say. I do know if I found a decent one for a real good price, I wouldn't pass it up if I had the money.
